Medtronic Diabetes ($2.3B) is actively seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to take on the role of Senior Director, Inside Sales. In this position, you will provide strategic direction and exceptional leadership to our robust Inside Sales group in San Antonio, Texas. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the conversion of patients interested in our product portfolio into sales, while prioritizing delivering excellent customer service to patients and prescribing Healthcare Provider offices. By doing so, you will contribute to our company's competitive edge and ensure our continued success.

A Day in the Life

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic vision and guidance to the Inside Sales activities, aligning them with the overall business objectives. Develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue growth, process excellence, and customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Execution: Accountable for the alignment and partnership between Inside Sales and Field Sales teams, ensuring smooth, effective, and accelerated delivery to meet/exceed revenue targets and market share goals.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of Inside Sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and promote professional development to enhance individual and team capabilities.
  • Process Excellence: Establish and optimize sales processes, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and adherence to compliance standards. Continuously evaluate and enhance sales methodologies, technology, and techniques to maximize productivity and effectiveness.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Champion the delivery of exceptional customer service to Patients and Healthcare Provider offices. Collaborate with the field to streamline processes and drive revenue through productive and positive interactions.
  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis: Implement performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to track the effectiveness of Inside Sales initiatives. Analyze sales data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights to drive continuous improvement and revenue growth
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong partnerships and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including Field Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership. Effectively communicate sales strategies, initiatives, and results to key stakeholders. Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 13 years with an advanced degree required
  • 10 years of managerial experience required
  • 6+ years’ experience in Contact Center Operations, Inside Sales, Supply Chain Operations or Field Sales Management required

Nice to Have

  • Master’s Degree in related field, MBA preferred
  • Excellent presentation skills with strong ability to present both qualitative and quantitative information in a clear, concise and persuasive manner to all levels of the organization 
  • Proven track record of success in leading Inside Sales teams and driving revenue growth in a competitive market
  • Advanced knowledge of inside and field sales processes
  • Exceptional execution skills, with a track record of delivering on financial and strategic commitments
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and motivate a team towards achieving goals
  • Excellent understanding of sales methodologies, processes, and customer-centric strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with financial reports, modeling exercises, interpreting and communicating operating and financial information
  • 5 years’ experience in budget and P&L management
  • Knowledge/Experience in Healthcare and/or Medical Device Industry
  • Knowledgeable in Diabetes Management
  • Experienced utilizing Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.

The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico). Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, etc.
