In this exciting role as an Engineering Program Manager, you will conceptualize, plan and execute key projects in post market PMO portfolio for Twin Cities Campus GO&SC Sites’ to include Brooklyn Park, Plymouth Annapolis, Plymouth Cheshire and Rice Creek Pharma Operations.  You will engage with cross-functional partners to tackle the most critical challenges affecting safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.

This position will work onsite at one of these four manufacturing plant locations across the Twin Cities in Minnesota.  Working in a multi-site team, provides exciting challenges and opportunities to learn about a wide variety of our products and therapies across many Operating Unit portfolios.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for key business processes to achieve programmatic savings.
  •         Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  •        Manages the development and implementation process of a company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery existing products.
  •         Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  •         Analyzes improvement programs and potential results and monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
  •         Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  •         Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
  •         Develops, implements and sustains process improvement initiatives utilizing Six Sigma methodologies.
  •         Defines improvement projects aligned with business strategies.
  •         May Facilitate and coach improvement teams.
  •         May define, design and implement continuous improvement programs to ensure programs are integrated vertically and horizontally across the organization

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • -        Medical device industry experience
  • -        Lean Sigma Certification (Green Belt or Black belt)
  • -        Operations Experience
  • -        Project Mgmt Experience and/or certifications
  • -        Medtronic change control experience (IQ/OQ/PQ, CIF, etc)
  • -        Demonstrated financial acumen (Daisy experience or similar)
  • -        Ability to work in a matrix organization with the desire to develop collaborative relationships within the organization and across other Medtronic sites.
  • -        Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interface at all levels in the organization

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.
