The Lead Interventional Radiographer is responsible for the delivery of a high-quality Interventional Radiology (IR) service within Surrey and Sussex Healthcare Trust. The post holder will be a radiographer with skills and experience in Interventional Imaging who will lead the team of interventional radiographers, including those working in the cardiac cath lab.
As a member of the senior leadership team in Diagnostic Imaging, the post holder will be expected to create an environment of continuous quality improvement and professional development, ensuring that the delivery of care is regularly reviewed and that the service developments are implemented when necessary. The Lead Interventional Radiographer will also ensure that waiting times are managed and reported, in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team. They will also represent the Interventional Radiology service and radiographers at both internal and external meetings.
The post-holder's responsibilities will also include contributing to delivery of the Trust Values and all key strategic activities and developments. This will be supported by high quality communications with all key groups of staff.
