This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Family & Specialised Division, as a Business Manager working in the Maternity services.

This ideal candidate should be a highly motivated individual with excellent leadership skills and experience in managing large services. The ideal candidate will be organised and efficient and has experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team of health care professionals.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have a specific focus on key performance metrics within the Maternity services and will be expected to lead in Departmental meetings, service delivery, transformational projects, input and implementing operational plans including capacity and demand planning to name a few.

Person Specification

All criteria

Essential

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience (operations NHS management)

• Significant experience of operational management & Leadership

• Experience working with and influencing MDT

• Experience of capacity planning

• Experience of workforce planning

• Experience in applying HR policies- staff managements, consultations etc.

• Experience financial forecasting and budget management

• Awareness and/or Understanding of key Maternity service priorities - Nationally and regionally

• Experience working across health system, including patient voices.

• Evidence of CPD

• Experience in analysing and making decisions based on data.

Desirable

• 5+ years NHS general management experience

• Qualification in QI or Project Management Methodology

• Evidence of understanding and addressing health inequalities in clinical services

• Coaching and Mentoring qualification

• oExperience in delivering key patient access or safety targets.

Desirable

• Experience of co-design/co-production across health systems
