About This Role 

This is an incredible opportunity for a Sales Director, Advisory to join Apex's Advisory growing team. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated sales professional to sell our industry leading custody and technology solutions. You will work closely with the core Advisory team, technology organization, and business teams in consultatively selling our advisory offering.

What you’ll do all day:

  • Create a plan for exceeding growth targets. Book and arrange meetings with prospects and build a well-defined  pipeline.
  • Lead effective discovery conversations, understanding where prospective clients are aiming to take their businesses.
  • Collaborate across the organization to demonstrate how apex’s  capabilities can help them achieve those objectives. This may involve mapping out innovative workflows with our consulting and solutions team – you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves to collaborate with our subject matter experts and solution on behalf of prospective clients.
  • Seek knowledge about the latest trends in the advisory space and new products at Apex.     
  • Build Pipeline. Proactively generate leads per week.
  • Track Progress and Communicate. Use CRM daily to enter sales notes and update pipeline 
  • Impact our business. Think out of the box and communicate what you are hearing to help strategy drive new products.

Education and Experience:

  • College degree in related field preferred.
  • 5+ years transferable work experience, preferably in cloud sales, financial technologies, or custody and clearing.

License(s):

  • FINRA Series 7 license

Knowledge, Skills, General Abilities:

  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of advisory technology, cloud computing concepts, SaaS models, and cloud-based infrastructure specific to the securities industry.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as required (approximately 50%+ of the time)
