As a Product Owner III within PNC's C&IB organization, you will be based in Little Rock, AR or Overland Park, KS.

This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis.  Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.

This position includes assisting with new technology business development activities, including but not limited to, responding to Requests for Proposal (RFP’s), providing product demonstrations, attending industry conferences, and participating in feasibility studies with new/existing clients for new product capabilities. This position may work with the Midland Servicing Business Development Group as well as the various technology groups listed below.

The Product Owner III may assist with product update information and product documentation in support of the periodic multi-tenant client upgrades. The position may include assisting with new module and new client implementations when needed. The purpose of this role is to build and disseminate product knowledge and documentation, and to serve as a utility resource for other product groups.

• Work with Technology Crews
o Review release notes & be prepared to explain them to clients
o Update product documentation as needed
o Work with Crews to maintain product documentation
o Assist with the implement of a new online documentation tool
o Assist with product testing
• Work with Account Management
o Provide a point of contact for technical questions to allow crews and release management to focus on workload
o Provide/facilitate product demonstrations and training when requested
• Work with Release Management
o Conduct an open forum meeting on first business day of new release testing to present the release contents and allow clients to ask questions
• Work with Application Support
o Assist with troubleshooting technical questions or issues
• Work with Conversions
o Assist with the implementation of new modules and/or new clients

• Self-starter is probably the most important aspect
• Creative. Comfortable starting with a blank slate
• Comfortable working with and communicating with clients
• Understanding/experience with building and delivering software functionality incrementally in an Agile/Scrum framework. Possibly from a PO, scrum master, developer, BA or testing perspective
• Experience/Exposure to a RDBMS like SQL Server for building queries and analyzing data
• Technical/Product documentation writing experience
• Commercial servicing knowledge/experience
• Accounting or finance knowledge/experience
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies
• Open to travel (up to 10% of time)

Job Description

  • Owns the vision and definition of the product. Serves as the voice of the Customer. Ensures the Scrum Team(s) effort is concentrated on the right priorities based on business value.
  • Defines and conveys the vision to the team(s) in order to address client requirements to ensure a successful product for business objectives.
  • Accountable for the creation of and the integrity of the product backlog. Prioritizes and leads grooming of the product backlog.
  • Works closely with the Scrum Master(s) and development team(s), to ensure the right items are focused on during the development process. Primary point of contact for questions from the team(s) and is empowered to make decisions.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
