Position Overview:

We are seeking a Software Developer I with a keen interest in data engineering to join our technology team. This role is tailored for an ambitious individual who is early in their career but eager to deepen their expertise in data engineering. Working alongside our seasoned data engineers, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining our data infrastructure, with a focus on leveraging advanced tools like Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, and BigQuery.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing and implementing robust data pipelines, utilizing Kafka for real-time data streaming.

• Contribute to the development and optimization of our data processing and analysis capabilities using Databricks.

• Support the management and optimization of data storage and warehousing solutions, specifically with Snowflake and BigQuery.

• Participate in ETL development and data integration efforts, ensuring data quality and accessibility for analytics applications.

• Work closely with senior engineers to explore and implement advanced data analytics and machine learning models.

• Engage in the continuous improvement of data security, governance, and compliance practices.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address technical challenges and enhance data infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 0-2 years of software development experience, with a keen interest in data engineering.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

• Experience with Kafka for real-time data processing is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing and analytics platforms like Snowflake and BigQuery.

• Exposure to Databricks or similar data processing frameworks.

• Understanding of SQL, relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

• Basic knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data-related offerings.

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
