We are growing our locations and are investing more than $2 billion into establishing a new large-scale manufacturing site for biopharmaceuticals in the United States to accelerate the growth of our Bio CDMO (Contract and Development Manufacturing Organization) business. This will be the largest end-to-end cell culture CDMO provider in North America.

The new site will offer end-to-end solutions to our customers looking to manufacture biopharmaceuticals in the US. In addition to drug substance manufacture, it will also provide automated fill-finish and assembly, packaging, and labeling services. The new state-of-the-art facility is located in Holly Springs, North Carolina, United States.

About This Role

The Senior IT Desktop Engineer 1 is responsible for operations and maintenance of the local BI & Analytics systems, from an IT perspective in a global organization.   The Senior IT Desktop Engineer 1 acts as a single point of contact and escalation for the locally used systems and ensures the most appropriate level of service is supplied to meet future business needs.   

What You’ll Do 

• Monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting end user computing systems across FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies

• Provides level 3 support, including resolving the most complex technical issues within the desktop area of operations

• Provides level 2 support for systems, while ensuring guidelines, how-to's and other relevant documentation is available for level 1 support

• Provides critical technical guidance and expertise

• Creation and deployment of application packages for use on end point devices

• Assist with other projects involving the infrastructure and application systems teams

• Analyze inquiries and participate in on-call rotation for critical incident management

• Determine appropriate technical area or vendor to resolve problems

• Follow up on specific inquiries or requests to ensure user/customer satisfaction

• Participate in project execution and quality assurance as needed

• Prepare or participate in the creation and maintenance of knowledge base and end user support and training documentation

• Function as the source of escalation from all areas of the business

• Ensure and drive service delivery of the IT ServiceDesk

• Develop and optimize IT ServiceDesk work/support processes and procedures

• Track incident trends and potential underlying issues

• Identify inefficiencies and present proposal for optimizations and execute implementation

• Other duties, as assigned

Who You Are

You will provide support for systems and resolve complex technical desktop issues

Basic Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 9 years of equivalent experience in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including management and troubleshooting of SCCM infrastructure, and have strong skills in SCCM administration, including managing clients, system policies, reporting, and process automation scripting or equivalent experience OR

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration and 5 years of equivalent experience in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), including management and troubleshooting of SCCM infrastructure, and have strong skills in SCCM administration, including managing clients, system policies, reporting, and process automation scripting or equivalent experience

• Experience with admin functions related to data sources and extracts, schedules, tasks, and subscriptions

• Extensive knowledge in deploying new operating systems using SCCM and understanding of tasks sequences, boot images, and driver packages

• Proficiency in managing and deploying patches via SCCM

• Experience in packaging and deploying software through SCCM

• PowerShell scripting skills to automate tasks in SCCM

• Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and correct problems related to SCCM

• Excellent oral and written communications skills and fluency in English

• Good understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP

• Strong analytical mind, eye for detail, and problem solving skills

• Collaborative attitude with the willingness to work with global peers and cross-functional teams toward company and project team goals

Preferred Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration

• Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment

• Experience working within a global IT team and associated processes
