The AWS Partner Organization (APO) supports tens of thousands of consulting and technology partners who in turn serve AWS customers across nearly every industry, segment, and geography. The APO Engineering team is driven by the mission to provide best partner experience worldwide and create a better future for our customers and communities through a culture of Customer obsession, innovation and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Our team is responsible for both internal and external support for Partner Sales, the APN, and other key elements that drive the AWS partner engagement. Our commitment is to serve three primary stakeholder groups: the partners who collaborate with us to develop, promote, and sell AWS, the customers who rely on AWS services, and our internal users responsible for fostering AWS sales and partner-based adoption.Key job responsibilities

Lead Product Definition – Own and drive the customer working backwards strategy, tenets, long-term goals and working backwards documents (press release, FAQ) including customer and market feedback, competitive analysis and business metrics to inform direction.
Define Product Vision – Including all aspects to future roadmap, investment, innovation and experimentation.
Execution of Product Planning and Development – Including customer goals and business requirements for product release, ensuring implementation is aligned with product goals and requirements, and ownership of product positioning.
Lead Product Launch – Own the GTM plan to deliver results that ensure the customer and business goals are met in operational launch plans.
Lead Operations – Including monitoring and response to customer feedback, continuous improvement and business growth
Lead interaction with Technical Team – Including helping the technical team make tradeoffs based on customer requirements, QA/testing of the product.
Business reporting - Track revenue and adoption on a daily basis. Own writing business reports on a weekly and monthly basis and review with leadership.

A day in the life

You are a Technical Product Advisor to AWS VPs, customer-facing representative for the service, and point of contact for partner teams. On a weekly basis, you will be working with customers to learn about the problems they are trying to solve, analyzing service and business metrics, writing PRFAQs, pricing narratives, and naming documents, iterating on product decisions with the engineering team, working with partners in marketing, sales, solution architecture, legal, support, documentation, etc., thinking big to envision what is next, and exhibiting learn and be curious for different technologies, growth strategies, and market trends. On a daily basis, you'll have a chance to work with everyone who makes products at AWS successful, including senior leadership, engineers, business and sales experts, marketing, advocates, data scientists, content writers, and more.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelors in engineering, CS, or related field, strong technical acumen required
- Minimum 10+ years of technical product management experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in databases and analytics
- Experience delivering large-scale product offerings where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will additionally demonstrate the following:
- - Experience making product decisions using judgment and data, including collaborating with customers and internal partners to solicit diverse perspectives
- - Experience successfully improving processes for product management and for collaboration with partner teams
- - Experience defining and executing a go-to-market strategy
- - Passion for technology, willingness to dive deep into the technical products
- - Experience influencing executive leadership through verbal and written communication
- - Experience negotiating, influencing, planning, and executing across teams
