Survey Researcher

We have an immediate opening for a Survey Researcher to join the Intellectual Property practice in our San Francisco office. NERA is widely recognized as a leading provider of expertise in the use of surveys in litigation disputes. We apply rigorous data analysis in Intellectual Property, Class Action and Labor disputes to evaluate issues of consumer perceptions of trademarks and package design, use and awareness of product features in patent and class action litigation and in evaluating the impact of claimed false or misleading advertising.

Your responsibilities may include drafting survey instruments and questionnaires, developing sampling plans, and analyzing industry trends and competitor and academic research; creating trial exhibits and presentation materials; drafting memos and expert reports; managing large data sets and writing programs to implement complex analyses; and participating in client meetings and conference calls.

Qualified candidates will have 1-3 years of experience, demonstrated success through both academic and professional achievements in survey methodology, sampling, and statistics, as well as related fields. The applicable base salary range for this role is $90,000 -$115,000. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
