As the North America Director of Sales for IR HiRel, you will be responsible for leading our sales efforts in the Aerospace and Defense market within North America. This newly created position covering our largest region is a highly visible role that demands a strategic thinker who can help shape the future of our sales organization. Your focus will be on creating strategies to win across our core customer base, transforming and nurturing sales talent, driving a laser focus around opportunity management and forecasting, and enhancing our sales tools and processes to maximize our growth. Your experience in semiconductor sales, sales team management, and ability to support a collaborative, innovative, resilient culture will be will be instrumental in your success. This position will report directly to IR HiRel’s Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Distribution.
In your new role you will:
• Manage and develop a team of regional sales managers and sales reps to achieve individual and team sales targets while ensuring the continuous growth of our business
• Deeply understand customer needs use insights to help shape our roadmap
• Define focused customer accounts and develop strategic account plans to increase revenue Spearhead the development of winning strategies for our key customer segments, focusing on both short-term gains and long-term growth.
• Build a high-performing sales team by identifying leadership potential and fostering career development
• Streamline and continuously optimize sales processes to enhance accountability and results
• Ensure the readiness of the team to sell a portfolio of Si/GaN/SiC power discretes, power multi-chip modules, memory, and Si/GaN power ICs.
• Instill a speak-up culture of excellence, innovation, and resilience within your team
• Drive an intense focus on near term forecasting (within 12 months), opportunity management, and customer programs
• Expand and grow sales over the short and long term within our focused Aerospace, Defense, and High Reliability Markets
• Establish and foster Sr. Executive relationships at strategic customers
• Deliver 5-year strategic long-term growth forecast yearly
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
• Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Demonstrated success in semiconductor solution selling (10+ years) with a track record of managing and inspiring high-performing sales teams (5+ years)
• The ability to work with all levels of management and build positive relationships while having influence across the sales and marketing organization
• A can-do attitude, consistent follow through, shown resourcefulness, and attention to detail
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to be personable yet persistent
• Experience with managing change to result in positive outcomes
• Strong organizational skills and experience communicating effectively around forecasting and opportunity funnel management
• Strong ability to make data-driven decisions and effectively use key performance indicators to measure success
• An agile approach to selling with the ability to quickly assimilate new value propositions and guide the sales team and customers to value them
• Strong motivational leadership skills and must be able to think strategically about new opportunities and develop and execute against a clear plan of action
• Track record of hiring and training salespeople that has resulted in successful outcomes
