Data Science Manager, Keying & Linking

Equifax is searching for a Data Science Manager to join our world-class Data and Analytics Keying and Linking team.

The successful candidate will lead our transformation of Commercial keying & linking to the Google Cloud and establish processes and practices for linking Equifax, partner and customer data to facilitate insights about businesses and the relationships between them. They will lead a small team of data scientists and data engineers who will explore a wide range of data assets using cutting edge analytics and statistics.

This role requires understanding large, diverse data sources and extensive experience developing search, match and entity resolution rules. Experience with linking data about consumers or, preferably businesses is critical as well. 

What you will do:

• Work with Business Leads, Sales, Product, data stewards and Technology to formulate and apply linking rules for Commercial data assets
• Move Commercial Keying & Linking rules and processes to the Google Cloud Platform
• Direct the work of and develop two direct reports in achieving their deliverables
• Present results and recommendations to internal and external customers
• Devise and deploy innovations, including but not limited to AI/ML techniques, for keying & linking, relationship management and corporate hierarchy identification.
• Expertly profile data and develop in depth analytics on the impact of new rules for entity resolution
• Ensure quality end-to-end deliverables of developed technology solutions. Clearly communicate insights and impacts from process and rule changes.

What experience you'll need:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data/Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other related discipline or relevant equivalent experience
• 5+ years of data management and analysis experience in the credit risk, telecommunications, financial services, marketing, fraud, or insurance analytics arena
• 5+ years of experience with data querying/handling tools (SAS, SQL, DataLever/RedPoint DM, Spotfire, Tableau or other industry-standard tools)
• 5+ years’ experience working with Data Schemas and Data formats such as JSON, Parquet, AVRO etc.
• 5+ years’ Experience with the development and usage of search, match and entity resolution of large (multi-TB to PB), complex data sets for consumer or commercial data
• 2+ years of experience as an indirect team lead or front line manager with a small team of direct reports

• Clear communication of technical or analytical results and recommendations to non-technical leaders
• Strong knowledge of credit bureau data 
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• Graph database, AI/ML tools usage to solve large scale business problems
