The Vice President, Visa Consulting and Analytics, Managed Services is a key leadership position in both the North America Consulting team and the Global Managed Services Practices Team. The role reports to the Senior Vice President and Head of Advisory in North America. Within Advisory, we have a dedicated service line – Visa Managed Services (VMS) with specialized experts who are routinely embedded into clients around the world to offer hands-on execution support, acting as a true extension of Visa Clients’ team. This key executive role will champion Visa’s implementation and managed services support with keynote placement at industry events and Visa’s various client and executive forums around North America. From our collective experience we have amassed an extensive set of best practices we leverage to help partners improve analytics, implement technology, improve payment operations, and reduce fraud. We bring together expertise, capabilities, resources, and scale to enhance performance and increase profitability.

The role involves:

  • Leading the North America Advisory Managed Services team. The role will lead all managed services Advisory engagements including but not limited to technology enablement engagements, Project Management and card migration work, Dedicated analytic engagements, and Fraud and risk management engagements.  This role involves leveraging deep technical and process consulting expertise to sell enablement engagements in the issuing and processing space. 
  • Developing and negotiating partnership with third parties including enablers and vendors regionally and globally, to deploy and manage external skills and platforms in support of Visa clients, alongside training our consultants and building internal skills.
  • Providing Advisory Practice leadership including building deeper domain and leading global Advisory VMS teams, standardizing, and scaling consulting engagements, and representing Advisory capabilities in key client sales discussions. 
  • Enabling overall Value Added Services (VAS) growth and specifically overall Advisory Revenue growth, including Consulting and Analytics, Marketing Services, Data Products and Visa University services.
  • Acting as a member of the North America Advisory leadership team and of the Advisory Practices Leadership Team
  • Developing talent and coaching the team, including a demonstrable track record of leadership in an equivalent role, supported by evidence of leadership skills and the development of high potential individuals and teams over several years.  Visa Advisory has an outstanding record in encouraging diversity and accelerating career growth within Visa, and this will be a critical factor in the future success of the team. 

We are looking for motivated, analytic individuals with a track record of building a strong consultative team in a complex, multidisciplinary and diverse environment. The incumbent must be able to develop enduring, strategic relationships, both with clients and across the Visa organization. They should have significant previous experience of leading teams in both technology consulting and card portfolio management, preferably at a senior level in a consulting firm or the equivalent level in a bank or other organization.  They should also have a good level of understanding around the use of data science and machine learning tools in solving complex client issues.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Leading, managing, mentoring, and motivating highly effective teams in a fast paced and demanding environment by utilizing strong interpersonal skills. Being able to align resources and seek buy-in from internal cross functional stakeholders, across all disciplines, will be critical to meeting the needs and objectives of external customers. The ideal candidate must have high process orientation skills.
  • Vice President is a central role for Advisory in NA, representing Visa both internally and externally to develop trusted advisor relationships with client senior executives through impactful consulting engagements.
  • Growing the revenue from managed services offered to clients from the existing base that contribute to the Global and NA Advisory growth strategy.
  • Supporting the development of all Managed Services Capabilities and ensuring significant engagement by engagement collaboration and coordination across functions within Visa.
  • Proactively engaging with clients and Visa client leadership in regular strategic & planning discussions, cultivate and manage a pipeline of work with clients.
  • Developing frameworks, approaches, solutions, and recommendations through the analysis of client data from multiple conflicting sources that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges by framing the results in a cohesive strategy and articulating recommendations and insights to executive management.
  • Influencing peers in other functional areas (e.g., marketing, product, marketing, and innovation) and across global regional teams to deliver best in class projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources.
  • Producing insights and analyses to improve client performance, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities across the payment P&L.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

•12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred qualifications:

• Substantial problem-solving ability with strategic focus on impacting client ROI.
• Demonstrated selling skills, and a proven track record of selling managed service engagements.
• Strong technology consulting and analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
• Strong risk and fraud knowledge, especially related to transactional fraud such as: enumeration attacks and vulnerability testing.
• Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently.
• Executive Presence including excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations.
• Demonstrated leadership, managerial and collaboration capabilities.
• Holds self and others accountable for measurable high quality, timely and effective results. Displays a strong commitment to organizational success.
• Ability to identify key strategic issues and to generate and deliver creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities.
• Deep expertise in portfolio management and understanding of our clients’ business.
• Understanding of critical factors in driving profitability and growth for Visa's issuer, acquirer, and merchant client.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with senior executives.
• Minimum of 15+ years of progressively more responsible business experience in management consulting and/or payment businesses. This should include key leadership roles with direct P&L responsibility for consulting projects.
• Ideal candidate will have significant payments and systems integration consulting experience.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrable leadership skills and evidence of coaching and talent development for high performing teams.
We are looking for a leader with deep payment and consulting expertise to provide analysis and strategic thinking to shape the services we deliver to clients, lead consulting engagements, and develop actionable and scalable insights and solutions.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 206,200 to 315,000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
