Job Description

Acting as a General Manager, the SVP, Community WiFi will lead the development and execution of the Community WiFi strategy.  The leader will set the product offerings strategy, identify our customers, set the sales and marketing strategy,  build out systems and processes to deliver on objectives, manage network design and hardware specs while ensuring client satisfaction and support throughout the project lifecycle. 

Responsibilities

  • Creating key performance objectives and monitoring Community WiFi revenue, profitability, and employee performance relative to those objectives.
  • Develop and implement growth strategies for the Community WiFi business in alignment with the company’s overarching revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Identify and cultivate potential business opportunities in the WiFi sector
  • Set the product strategy and ensure we are providing optimal offerings to clients
  • Contribute to the sales and marketing strategy and collaborate with teams to craft targeted pitches, presentations, and promotional campaigns for Community WiFi.
  • Direct and oversee the complete project life-cycle, ensuring proposals meet client specifications, that projects meet client’s quality standards, and are delivered on schedule and within budget
  • Implement best practices, methodologies, and technologies in design and engineering to stay ahead in the competitive landscape.
  • Oversee the resolution of technical challenges, ensuring client satisfaction
  • Lead a cross functional team in a matrixed environment of network engineers, project managers, field operations, and support staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivated work environment and implementing change.
  • Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and market demands to remain at the forefront of WiFi offerings.
  • Establish strategic partnerships and collaborations with relevant stakeholders and industry players

Required Qualifications

  • An undergraduate, technical degree, or equivalent is required; an MBA or professional postgraduate degree is desirable.
  • Proven capability in business development, capturing significant market share, and establishing a dominant presence in the sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the latest technologies, innovations, and best practices in WiFi.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities
  • Proven record in progressive leadership roles with oversight of a P&L
  • Proven record of accomplishment in building and growing services revenues while continuing to improve operational excellence (high utilization, full rate realization, meeting margin targets, focus on quality, customer satisfaction, etc.).
  • Proven track record of personally managing large-scale networking services projects l.
  • Have relationships with companies providing network cabling services.
  • Excellent strategy development and problem-solving skills as well as business development focus and experience (e.g., relative to new products, services, and go-to-market approaches), while possessing a broad level of technology understanding and substantial operational and financial acumen.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations and an appreciation of how the dynamics of growth affect corporate culture and in-place processes and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate between the business and technical domains of an implementation project, providing leadership in both.
  • Experienced setting and executing against a strategy.
