VIZIO’s Information Technology team is seeking a Network Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with cutting edge technology that helps facilitate network support and services to VIZIO. The Network Engineer will report to the ‘Director, Information Security and Network Systems’ and provide support to employees in their local office and company-wide employees via remote assistance

What You Will Do

  • Monitor, manage and troubleshoot Cisco/Palo Alto/HP Aruba Wide Area Network
  • Assist Network Architects
  • Implement new network tools and infrastructure
  • Improve efficiency of current networks
  • Update network equipment to latest stable firmware release
  • Assist with new site buildouts and existing site remodels (some travel required)
  • Document various network systems

About You

  • Minimum education level of High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 5+ years in Network Management and Design.
  • Dallas, Texas located.
  • Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, HP Aruba ClearPass
  • Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP network design
  • Experience with network security
  • Experience with BGP routing protocol
  • Experience with Meraki wireless and switched networks.
  • Experience with setting up site to site and remote access VPNs (i.e. Global Protect)
  • Experience with Software Defined Networking (SilverPeak SDN).
  • Experience with configuring different firewall feature sets such as Security Policies, Network Address Translation (NAT) and Policy Based Forwarding
  • Experience managing Enterprise MPLS networks
  • Experience with troubleshooting, provisioning and installing Internet circuits
  • Knowledge of different cabling (copper and fiber) standards. Single Mode Fiber, Multi Mode Fiber, CAT 6 etc.
  • Experience with InfoBlox DNS.
  • Self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, yet at times, ambiguous environment
  • Hard-working team player, with a “no task is too small” attitude
  • Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
  • Experience working with software developers when they need assistance. Providing them with correct solutions and root causes analysis
  • Ability to occasionally lift 30-40 lbs
