Job Summary

The Sun Long Term Care (LTC) Account Manager is responsible for promoting Sun’s alternative formulation product(s) and optimizing business opportunities in targeted LTC settings, including LTC Facilities and LTC Pharmacies.  The Account Manager will be required to identify and develop business relationships with key decision makers and influencers (e.g. prescribing HCPs, Consultant Pharmacists, LTC Facility Medical Directors, LTC Pharmacy Directors, Directors of Nursing, Nursing Staff, Administration) while educating targets on clinical value and appropriate use of Sun’s LTC product(s).

PERSONAL SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:

Individual must demonstrate an excellence in developing and applying territory business plans that lead to achievement of sales goals and objectives.  Coordination and integration with all field based employees (Customer Engagement, Reimbursement, Managed Markets, etc.) to effectively drive acceptance of promoted product(s) within a designated business area and geography.

Individual must have a positive attitude and be adaptable to a dynamic “startup” type of environment without losing focus on business goals.  This individual should possess a strong work ethic, be dependable and be able to build trust with internal stakeholders while remaining transparent, ethical, and compliant.  They should also be experienced selling and presenting detailed scientific subject matter and approved promotional messaging in a clear and easy to understand fashion.

General Responsibilities/ Decision Making Authority:

• Reports directly to the Head of Sales, Long Term Care
• Responsible for the understanding and utilization of sales reports, CRM, and forecasts
• Responsible for timely call reporting tasks
• Responsible for managing Sales budgets within their territory
• Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals

Work Conditions

Field based role in typical medical facility, pharmacy, and HCP provider office environments.

Physical Requirements

Ability to spend extensive time driving within large geographic territory; ability to navigate on foot multi-floor facilities via elevator, escalator and reasonable number of steps; some large facilities may require extensive walking on occasion; alternative travel means may also be required (flight, train, car service).

Travel Estimate: 80%

Education and Job Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated clinical acumen required
• Strong ability to collaborate, innovate and deliver results required
• Valid Driver's License required

Job Description

• 1-5 years of Pharmaceutical/Biotech/Medical Device or B2B sales experience preferred
• Experience selling in Long Term Care setting preferred
• Experience selling in a complex reimbursement and access environment preferred
• Product launch experience preferred
• Experience selling in highly competitive environment preferred
• Tact, diplomacy, and a high level of professionalism are essential
