Sun Pharma Advance Research Company (SPARC) is a pharmaceutical research and drug discovery organization that was formed in 2007, when Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. separated out its active projects in drug discovery and innovation into a new company to provide the focus and the opportunity for growth of these projects which are now at different stages of preclinical and clinical development.

SPARC is seeking an accomplished Clinical Leader with expertise in one of our key therapeutic areas - Neurology.  The Director - Neurology Programs will be responsible for:

  • Designing and managing Phase I - Phase IV Neurology Clinical trials
  • Providing program leadership for Neurology programs (co-development and internal programs)
  • Managing co-development/in-licensing alliances through the life cycle of clinical development programs involved
  • Evaluating, selecting, and managing external services providers like CROs involved in Neurology programs
  • Assisting evaluating potential partnering/in-licensing opportunities in Neurology
  • Leading regulatory consultations/negotiations with regulatory agencies globally through the life cycle of clinical programs from IND to marketing approvals
  • Leading efforts to build Neurology clinical development and regulatory capabilities
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to achieve business goals

Requirements:

  • Board Certified MD preferred with 3-7 years’ experience or equivalent running and managing projects for large global Neurology trials in big pharma or CRO environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Thorough understanding of Phase I-IV drug development with proven ability to plan clinical trials, deliver high quality results within established timelines, interpret, analyze and communicate clinical/scientific data, and generate clinical/scientific documents.
  • A demonstrated track record of success in your field, the capacity to lead with minimal supervision, plan strategically, achieve goals on time, and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to meet the needs of varied audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills commensurate with the need to work closely with partners, investigators, contractors, consultants, and team members across functions.
  • Knowledge of FDA/EMA requirements, good clinical practices and pharmaceutical clinical development.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and strategic planning skills.
  • Well organized with strong management, leadership, mentoring and motivational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, demand for high-quality work, and sense of passion and urgency to achieve goals and improve the lives of patients.
  • Strong business acumen, including working knowledge of changing U.S. payer and provider landscape.
