Director of School Age Childcare

The Granite YMCA is seeking an experienced & enthusiastic youth development professional to join our dynamic, growing and purposeful team.

Job Description

This Director maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals, promotes the potential of all youth and provides quality experience to both youth and their families. As a leader in youth development, working under the supervisor of the Regional Director of School Age Childcare, this position will be responsible for the oversite of the school age childcare programs, to include in and out of school time programs for the elementary schools in the Manchester and Goffstown districts.  

The Director will supervise a team of employees and volunteers and have administrative duties and operational functions, including daily program hours.Strong communication and leadership skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred 
• Must meet NH bureau of Childcare Licensing Requirements as a Center Director 
• Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a supervisor 
• Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience with children in a developmental setting
• Possess strong interpersonal communication skills
• First Aid and CPR certified within 60 days of employment
• Must have valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
• Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds
