The Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) organization is seeking a Senior Director of Supply Planning for our DC (Data Center) Capacity Planning group. This role is responsible for supporting the Capacity planning group to support our rapidly scaling global data center infrastructure supply, which supports the full spectrum of Microsoft products and services. This role sits at the nexus of multiple teams which come together that enables successful delivery of data center supply.  

This role will be responsible managing our Data Center Supply Planning organization.

The role requires deep expertise in supply planning, supply strategy, total cost to serve, sales and operations planning (S&OP), statistical planning model,  advanced planning systems and methodologies, and IT infrastructure concepts.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 10+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 8+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-rela
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, FInance OR related field AND 13+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, Finance, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing OR related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics OR related field AND 10+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years people management experience

Supply Planning M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $292,200 per year.

Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Data Center Supply plans for the company.
  • Support Supply planning in S&OP and Executive sales and operations planning (ES&OP)
  • Manage a high performer team supply planners
  • Document key demand and dependencies and input processes to signal critical infrastructure.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement planning improvements drawing on statistical methods, supply planning principles, S&OP best practices, and emerging software technology capabilities.
  • Work across a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure we collaboratively improve, adapt, and adopt our processes and support software systems to support rapidly changing business requirements.
  • Build and manages key relationships needed for Supply planning. Drives collaboration and alignment on plans; cross-functional relationships.
  • Drives long-term strategy for plans and drives additional forecast variability, and with longer-term planning horizons.
