Assistant Vice President/Vice President, Investment (Technology & Consumer)

Technology & Consumer (T&C) Asia is seeking to hire an investment processional to expand our team in Singapore. The candidate will help drive T&C Asia engagement across broader Asian markets and will collaborate extensively with investment colleagues across Asia. The candidate is expected to support the team on various workstreams across the investment process, from new investment evaluation, due diligence, through getting committee approval, to portfolio management and eventual exit. 

Core Functions/Responsibilities:

• Taking part in the process of identifying and assessing investment opportunities in companies spanning across several sub-sectors within the Tech and Consumer space in Asia
• Evaluating, undertaking due diligence, closing investments as well as monitoring the performance of portfolio companies and eventual divestment
• Leading various due diligence transaction workstreams including financial modelling, drafting of investment papers, co-ordination of internal approval processes and legal documentation 
• Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team
• Support in ad hoc projects and reporting tasks

 Qualifications/Capabilities:

• Preferably at least 5-7 years working experience in private equity investing and / or corporate finance (eg with a top-tier investment bank), with exposure to the Technology and/or Consumer space
• High level of interpersonal, writing, technical and modelling skills. Excellent financial modeling skills are an absolute requirement
• Able to work well within diverse teams and deal with multiple stakeholders
• Self-starter with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and to work independently
• Familiar with use of appropriate electronic data sources (e.g. Bloomberg, Factiva, Cap IQ etc).
