Director Surgical Services, Surgical Services Admin

The Director of Surgical Services has the primary responsibility for the daily operation of departments within Surgical Services. The Director has overall responsibility for the planning, administration, control and quality management of department activities

REQUIRED:

1. Bachelor degree in Nursing with extensive nursing experience in an administrative/management/supervisory capacity.

2. Ability to plan, organize, direct, and control activities of a department within or across all hospital services.

3. Ability to understand function or service from perspective of individuals or departments served.

4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with staff, management, physicians, and others.

5. Ability to project and formulate the future needs of the services.

6. Ability to analyze and evaluate the impact of internal and external change on the service.

PREFERRED:

1. Masters Degree in Nursing or related field
