The role

The Trading Platform Services (TPS) Team at G-Research is responsible for providing support services to the non-investment functions of our customer, managing internal teams at G-Research and managing new business initiatives.

As a TPS Senior Analyst, you will support the delivery of the team’s agenda, focusing on strategic planning, providing subject matter expertise to project and delivery managers and working with functional teams to drive the delivery of trading platform initiatives. This includes occasionally managing the delivery of cross-functional, special interest projects, typically focused on business expansion.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Supporting the Deputy Head of TPS with business management tasks, including establishing and tracking KPIs, creating governance documents, such as periodic board and management meeting updates, and creating other ad-hoc reports
• Providing support for the delivery of a liquidity expansion agenda, including working closely with the liquidity expansion team leads to understand the liquidity landscape, and when necessary supporting the front office and research teams in answering questions to drive liquidity expansion efforts.  This also includes performing business management tasks related to liquidity expansion, such as aggregating data and developing materials for our monthly liquidity forum and inputting data into our liquidity intelligence portal
• Working closely with the central project management office to provide business insight to better drive the project management function and to support the firm’s governance process
• Supporting various group teams, such as execution, trading operations, treasury and back office, in general business management and administrative tasks including creating and maintaining a process document library for key processes and functions

Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Experience working across multiple functional areas, such as front office, operations, treasury, risk management and market structure, at an investment bank or non-bank liquidity provider, with experience upgrading existing capabilities and delivering new functionality
• Basic understanding of systematic equity trading workflows, including the ownership of responsibilities and handoffs between execution and downstream teams such as operations, treasury and risk management
• Experience evaluating and documenting equity trading or operational workflows and business process
• Ability to work and effectively communicate with various stakeholders across the business, including senior management
• Proven ability to work with different teams across the firm and coordinate time critical dependencies, therefore the ability to quickly build strong relationships is key
• Expert in the use of JIRA as a workflow management tool
• The following skills and experience are beneficial but not a requirement of the role:
• Knowledge of equity market structure
• An understanding of multiple asset classes including FX, Fixed Income, and Crypto as well as equity instruments (futures, single name options, index products and ETFs)
