We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Eagan, Minnesota- to develop and maintain our top-tier suite of enterprise software for manufacturing operations management.
As a member of our dynamic agile development team, you will contribute to delivering high quality, high-value software. Utilizing cutting-edge technologies, we deliver a robust suite of manufacturing operations management products. Our team collaborates closely with product managers, stakeholders, and customers to provide best in class solutions.
You will develop and support the next generation of features in the manufacturing operations management space, requiring an inventive and driven team.
- Analyze code usage metrics to identify areas for code quality or software performances improvements
- Understand the portfolio plans, committed values, and position new developments in this context
- Learn and stay at the state of the art on software development practices, technologies
- Design new capabilities and components for re-use in collaboration with architects
- Define and describe functional behavior, limitations and acceptance tests of capabilities to deliver
- Stay current on business processes within your domain of responsibility.
- Provided guidance and support to fellow team members.
- Share knowledge with relevant R&D teams about dependencies.
- Communicate knowledge within and outside the team regarding development and technical components.
- Comply with R&D processes and meet key activity and performance indicators.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- 2-4 years of commercial software development experience.
- Experience in developing JavaScript web applications - required
- Broad technical knowledge in design patterns, object-oriented design and implementation, unit testing, and software development methodologies.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or other front-end development technologies.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Work independently and as a collaborative team member.
Preferred Skills:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Other related degrees
- Nice to have proficiency in C# and .NET or Java and other JVM-based enterprise technologies.
- Experience with modern web technologies including TypeScript, Angular, CSS preprocessors, etc.
- Familiarity with DevOps and Agile practices and procedures.
- Experience designing, implementing, and delivering cloud systems.
- Knowledge of RDBMS such as MS SQL or Oracle.
“Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $99,200 and $135,900, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus”
