As a key financial advisor to Operations management, you'll drive strategic financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support data-driven decision-making. Your work will involve strong collaboration with Workforce Management (WFM), FP&A, and Operations teams, ensuring high-quality reporting, forecasting, and solutions that align with Group policies. You'll play a vital role in maintaining financial health, identifying efficiency improvements, and providing insights into cost and productivity to help achieve our global strategic goals.
This position offers the opportunity to work remotely in the U.S. or Canada and reports directly to Head of Travel and MedOps Reporting.
What you will do
• Monitor Operations costs, analyze financial performance, coordinate the Operations Planning Dialogue (PD), and provide cost reporting and forecasting.
• Drive automation of data collection and reporting, ensuring integration with the Finance department.
• Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans aligned with organizational targets, creating concrete budgets for budget owners.
• Establish and maintain financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure policy compliance.
• Conduct financial analyses to provide insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders, including management and regulators.
• Develop financial forecasts and projections to support proactive decision-making and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with Operations and non-Operations departments to align financial strategies and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.
• Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring financial health.
• Drive continuous improvements in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicate financial insights and recommendations clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Manage external audits, ensuring compliance and accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Allianz group standards.
What you will bring
• Bachelor’s or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Workforce Management or Financial Planning and Analysis
• Understanding of capacity planning
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and drive actionable insights and recommendations.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerBI
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire trust and effectively collaborate across diverse teams and cultures.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic mind-set with a focus on driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Experience using SAP or a similar financial software preferred.
• Experience within a large matrix organization (ideally in Insurance or Assistance business), demonstrating ability to navigate the structure preferred.
• Qualified candidates must currently reside in the U.S. or Canada.
• Qualified candidates in the U.S. must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for current or future visa sponsorship.
• Qualified candidates in Canada must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
