Senior Enterprise IT Specialist - IT Network Engineer

The organizational unit "Compute Cloud and Networks" is responsible for managing and setting the Cariad on-premise data center and network infrastructure. Our intention is satisfying our users and developers with end-2-end designed services and products.

As an IT Network Engineer (m/f/d) you will be responsible together with your team for the operation and enhancement of our active and passive IT infrastructure (data center and office network).

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Operate and enhance the active and passive IT infrastructure of CARIAD
• Be responsible for setting up and configure switches, firewalls, WLAN, NAC, monitoring, WAN and internet
• Define and configure IT-Security of the infrastructure and be responsible for infrastructure documentation (preferred FNT Command)
• Handle physical network devices
• Provide 2nd/3rd Level Network Support and on call duty for network related issues according to service level agreements
• Assign and check offers of vendors regarding compliance and costumer requirements
• Manage external partners like electricians or building designer on-site

WHO YOU ARE

• Completed vocational training as a Network Engineer or completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable relevant education or significant expertise that enables you to fulfill this role
• At least 3 years of practical experience as a network engineer
• Proven know-how in active and passive network components as switches, firewalls, W-LAN, NAC, monitoring, WAN, LAN, VPN
• Solution-oriented and hands-on-mentality
• Independent, reliable, structured work style and communication skills
• Fluent English language skills (oral and written), German language skills are a plus
