Our Marketing Solutions team is responsible for enabling trivago's marketing team to implement their strategies by developing automated tools to support their decisions. We are now seeking a passionate Senior QA Engineer to join our team! In this role, you'll ensure the quality of our software by implementing manual and automated testing solutions. How you’ll make an impact:

• Promote a “shift left” mentality: Build quality into the development cycle from the start. Guide developers on writing better automation tests (unit, integration, end-to-end)

• Critically evaluate ideas: Assess usability, performance, impact of new ideas, suggesting improvements

• Ensure quality and reliability: Deliver high-quality software through rigorous testing (manual and automated)

• Take ownership: Debug issues, identify root causes, and offer solutions

• Provide data-driven insights: Uncover insights and identify risks from data

• Innovate: Use AI to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness

What you'll need to thrive:

• Educational Background: Degree in IT-related field

• Experience: 5+ years in manual and automation testing

• Technical Skills: Skill in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests

• Tool Proficiency: Proficient in SQL, CI/CD, Git, and Jira

• Work Style: You're comfortable with fast, flexible, evolving testing approaches, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Attributes: Eagerness to learn and share knowledge, set high goals and work proactively to achieve them. You also enjoy working in a dynamic international team with great communication and collaboration

• Language Skills: Fluency in English
