The objective of the Finance Control Management Operational Risk (OR) Advisory team is to provide specialized and strategic risk advisory specific to Finance areas.
Finance is looking for a Manager of Operational Risk (OR) Advisory focused on ensuring control management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our organization. It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies.
The Manager – Risk Advisory will:
• Provide risk advisory specific to Finance large-scale initiatives
• Lead strategic projects to uplift the Finance control environment
• Compile best practices and learnings from historical initiatives, and leverage to support risk identification
• Ensure appropriate control design to the evolving Finance Tech environment (Falcon, Cloud, Oracle, Gen AI)
• Coordinate with Finance process owners to embed ORM considerations into financial processes
• Collaborate across FLT teams for input on areas of risk
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) and understanding critical operational risk management lifecycle activities
• Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in process governance, establishing and overseeing robust decision-making processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous
• Experience in at least one of the following:
o Supporting assessing the needs of Finance leaders to ensure sufficient understanding of Operational Risk Management and controls
o Supporting compiling and sharing best practices and learnings from historical product launches and change management initiatives
o Managing day-to-day activities for coordination with process teams to embed operational risk considerations
o Supporting facilitation of operational risk awareness aedund education within product and service teams to enhance their ability to manage risks effectively
• Experience in financial services industry
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
