Senior Data Warehouse Engineer

What you'll be doing

• Build the foundational data infrastructure for analytics, reporting, and machine learning data pipelines and products

• Develop internal data tools and APIs to empower Unity's data teams in their business analysis and reporting efforts

• Collaborate with various internal teams to design and implement scalable, automated data pipeline frameworks based on their needs

• Participate in and take ownership of developing data solutions and APIs that ensure seamless and secure data workflows

• Drive innovation in data infrastructure to support and enhance data-driven decision-making across Unity

What we're looking for

• Proven expertise in handling big data, with significant experience in end-to-end ETL pipeline design and utilizing modern data stack tools with cloud data warehouses like BigQuery and Snowflake

• Proficiency with Kafka, Spark, and Flink for developing batch and streaming data pipelines and products using Iceberg table storage formats

• Fluency in Python, with solid experience in using Airflow for orchestration and advanced SQL skills

• Experienced in automating CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar technologies, and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform on platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure

You might also have

• Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Scala or Go

• Understanding of various data storage engines (SQL, NoSQL, key-value stores, object stores)

• Experience with high-performance, distributed data storage solutions such as Druid/Imply for OLAP workloads
