Essential Job Functions
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance to operational standardized processes and procedures across capacity planning and terminal operations.
- Lead a culture of safety excellence across terminal operations and intermodal fleet, leveraging predictive measuring tools to achieve industry leading safety performance.
- Leverage HGI and 3PD drayage capacity to optimize street efficiency while providing exceptional service to the customers’ business.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate rail and third-party drayage performance to deliver efficiency throughout Hub Group’s intermodal network.
- Maintain operational discipline while introducing innovative solutions to successfully navigate through market/business disruption.
- Forecast demands accurately, adjusting planning and terminal operations to support business while maximizing OI.
- Business lead for the development and implementation of transformational technology.
- Duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10-15 years work experience in logistics/transportation, in operations and/or customer facing role.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics and or related fields required. MBA preferred.
- Proven ability to balance individual execution while elevating talent through delegation.
- Delivering business results by leveraging cross departmental resources. KPI/Metrics delivery
- Experience interfacing directly with C-Level/Senior Management at Fortune 1000 companies. Adaptability in delivering communication based on the audience.
- Outstanding leadership abilities including problem solving, interpersonal communications, goal orientation, teaching/coaching, self-discipline and systemic thinking
- Ability to deliver innovation in process management/improvement and operational deliverables.
- Solid understanding of transportation and logistics principles, economics, and supply chain network behavior
- Cross departmental engagement and ability to leverage other groups.
- Keen interest in team oriented approach to managing customers
- Minimum 5 years experience of successful P&L Management (interpret and actionable delivery)
- Excellent communications skills; presentation, interpersonal, verbal and written
- Computer Proficiency (Word, Excel, Databases, Powerpoint)
- Strong problem-solving skills; ability to use good business judgment and make decisions
- Available to travel. 10% travel.
Salary: $200,000 - $250,000/year base salary
This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however it may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand.
