Responsible for applying consistent accounting principles and procedures to record and analyze financial information, maintain the integrity of the financial records, provide transparent and accurate financial information to Sr. Management, prepare accurate and timely financial reports, and ensure adherence to appropriate accounting control procedures. Collaborate with external teams such as Community Management, Capital Project Managers and Planning.
Job Duties:
- Prepare reporting and assist with invoice oversight to better track costs associated with insurance incidents/claims, provide greater visibility to Risk Management, and to maximize insurance claim reimbursements
- Provide insurance claim support to Risk Management in an organized manner to support timely reimbursements
- Review transaction level detail to determine insurability of costs
- Ensure capitalization/expense decisions are in accordance with company policy while maximizing available tax deductions
- Partner with Environmental and Community Management departments to review aged purchase orders to better monitor expenditures and to mitigate the risk of overpayment
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:
- BA or BS in Accounting with CPA
- 5+ years accounting experience, preferably in Real Estate Management
- Experience using SAP a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience in report writing
- Ability to effectively communicate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment across the organization
- Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented; self-motivated; ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $93,600.00 - $112,700.00
Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
