  • You will be working directly with the founders
  • Act as a co-pilot to the VP of Operations.
  • Own all financial books and records, ensuring timely and accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports.
  • The emphasis will be on unit economics and product monetization, business insights and KPI health, operational efficiency, and financial planning & forecasting
  • Develop, lead, and maintain relationships with external auditors, insurance providers, banks, and other vendors and key stakeholders
  • Communicating risks & opportunities to leadership and executive team

Key Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in operating roles at startups or large tech companies, investment banking, strategy consulting, private equity, or corporate planning and FP&A.
  • Experience in comparable finance and accounting position(s) at a middle market manufacturing company.
  • Strong cost accounting skills and thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their application.
  • Proficient in building a complex financial model including variance analysis.
  • Good understanding of accounting, taxation, unit economics.
  • Experience with implementing and using Netsuite, QuickBooks, TaxJar, Avalara, Carta etc.

You will be responsible for

  • Developing and presenting business plans, models, and financial forecasts to senior management
  • Owning the Board of Directors packet - P&L, balance sheet, cash flow.
  • Detailed tracking of all Costs associated with unit economics including COGS, cost of sales and logistics cost.
  • Deep collaboration with VP of Operations to identify most impactful areas for cost improvement.
  • Create KPIs and a dashboard framework in collaboration with the Data Analytics team such that all KPIs have definitions, are tracked in real-time, and are integrated into the Company's financial model
  • Maintaining an up-to-date cashflow for the company
  • Lead all Finance discussions, including annual and quarterly budget planning, product margin analysis, monthly performance to plan, month-end close, and financial reporting with consideration for P&L impact
  • Make recommendations and options to improve margin and operating income.
  • Integrate a financing solution (Buy Now, Pay Later) for our customers to drive sales.
  • Good understanding of sales tax and manage yearly tax returns.
  • Manage corporate taxes and ensure all compliances are executed.
  • Develop investor decks, Board of Directors decks and quarterback financials for future fundraising processes.
