In this role, you will provide excellent leadership, management, and coaching within your local market to achieve Bank OZK’s strategic goals. Essential Job Functions

1. Execute strategic and tactical plans to manage business development productivity and portfolio quality, and to meet financial targets 

2. Identify, prioritize, and develop strategies for high-value retention, expansion, and acquisition of customer relationships by delivering knowledgeable advice and solutions

3. Engage relevant business and bank partners in team-based customer development with expert delivery

4. Leverage local market networks and centers of influence to identify, prospect, and pursue business opportunities to hit market goals 

5. Display a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism at all  times

6. Embrace Bank OZK’s core lending tenets of asset quality, profitability, and then growth

7. Manage team members, including daily supervision, interviewing and hiring, mentoring and training, performance appraisals, career development, promotion and pay recommendations, and separations of direct reports 

8. Model talent development skills to facilitate strong employee engagement

9. Enthusiastically support and model the bank’s values and mission

10. Regularly exercise discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions

11. Maintain consistently good punctuality and attendance to work

12. Follow Bank OZK policy, procedures and guidelines to protect customers and bank  assets

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1. Comprehensive knowledge of the community and commercial banking market, including customer needs, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment

2. Knowledge of bank regulations, policies, and procedures

3. Ability to act as an innovative, insightful, and visionary leader with strong observation skills and attention to detail, capable of leading a team to success

4. Ability to demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial spirit and positive reputation in the local market and among peers

5. Ability to build and grow successful customer relationships

6. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including strong persuasion and negotiation skills

7. Ability to manage, lead, mentor, and train team members effectively, inspiring them to meet business objectives

13. Ability to maintain confidentiality

14. Ability to travel overnight, as needed 

15. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office applications necessary to perform essential job functions

Basic Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field, or commensurate work experience, required 

2. 3+ years business development and leadership experience in a financial institution required

3. 5+ years lending work experience, involving strong credit acumen, required

4. Proven, consistent achievement of business development goals and financial targets required

5. Solid experience managing, leading and coaching professionals required

6. Comprehensive knowledge of bank products/services, lending/fair lending, collateral management, and regulations required

7. NMLS, or successful completion of NMLS process within 45 days of hire, required
