Responsibilities
As a part of the Ria Digital Partnerships team that empowers our partners to offer international remittance solutions to their customers within their own digital experiences. 

As the lead for Americas Business Development, you will lead business development engagements with prospects and develop the framework for scaling our partnership program in this market. You will also develop and nurture a pipeline of qualified partnership prospects and contribute to our sales strategy and execution. 

  • You will develop business partnerships with small FIs (credit unions, community banks) and the platforms that enable these FIs, and you may also develop opportunities with FinTech and non-financial brands. 
  • You will work cross-functionally to connect with Ria Digital and the wider Ria organization, including product management, engineering, compliance, legal, delivery, and business development.
  • Conduct inbound and outbound activities (calls, emails, networking) to generate and qualify leads and convert them into sales opportunities.
  • Host initial fact-finding calls with prospects to understand the fRia'sth Ria's money transfer offering and obtain a detailed understanding of the client’s existing business, and qualify it as a strong fit for our partner solutions.
  • Listen to prospect needs and assess and highlight how remittances may fit and enhance their business strategy, and clearly articulate and explain Ria's partnership value proposition through FABs. 
  • Maintain updated CRM and sales pipeline.
  • Stay current on embedded finance and remittance market trends and make recommendations as opportunities are identified.
  • Develop a strong business development practice to scale to additional BD resources as we grow. 

Qualifications

  • You have 7-10 years of sales/business development experience in banking, fintech, or platform companies in the US, with strong B2B relationship-building savvy and experience selling complex, long-cycle deals across key market segments. Money Transfer experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the software and fintech landscape, including embedded finance and partner integration models (hosted/APIs). 
  • Results-driven mindset delivering new, high-potential partnerships.
  • Act as the champion for the partner internally and develop strong relationships with key internal colleagues to ensure a proactive approach to closing deals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills are required; communicates and influences strategically and effectively with proven experience successfully collaborating cross-functionally to execute deals.   
  • Strong attention to detail to track initiatives, projects, and deliverables.
  • Self-starter that aims for continuous improvement.
  • Analytical thinking to consistently identify solutions and plan the next steps.
  • Ethics and integrity; always operates with commitment to organizational vision, values, and goals.
  • Bachelor's Degree or MBA is preferred. 
  • Ideally, located in Denver or another major city in the US. You'll need to travel.

Perks & Benefits. The range in Colorado for this position is $150,000 - $170,000. Actual starting compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, and skills.
