Inpatient Adult Psychiatrist

Alameda Health System (AHS) is seeking Psychiatrists for Full Time, Day shifts, in The Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) at the nationally recognized John George Psychiatric Hospital. 

John George is conveniently located in the San Francisco Bay Area, just south of Oakland. San Francisco is just a short drive away. The department’s mission is to provide the best comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health services to adults with mental illness in Alameda County.  

Psychiatrists Salary

Annual Base Pay $385,000 (effective July 07,2024)
Day shift: 7am - 4pm

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine or osteopathic medicine with an MD or DO

Minimum Experience:

• Prior community mental health services experience

Required Licenses/Certifications:
Valid CA License to practice Medicine and Certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

1. Full time positions for Inpatient services.

2. SAN positions for weekend/holiday coverage on inpatient and psychiatric emergency services (PES).
