Midwest Communication’s award-winning full service/classic hits WTVB AM/FM is looking for our next newsroom leader. Our current veteran is retiring later this year and we’re looking for someone to continue the reputation for outstanding local news coverage.
We’re the primary source for news, high school sports, and community news in our county and the region on-air, but we also maintain an extremely powerful website that generates up to one million page views per month. If you have a play-by-play background, that’s a bonus but not necessary.
We’re looking for a take-charge person who loves to get involved in the community, and who will be backed by other Midwest Communication newsrooms around Michigan.
We offer a competitive salary and a full benefits package in a market that has a relatively low cost of living. Our county has over 100 lakes, good schools, a vibrant arts community, and is halfway between Chicago and Detroit.
A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required for this position.
