Within CFO Global Performance Steering (GPS), the Business Partnering team is a key contributor to fostering bold and proactive steering towards Allianz Commercial´s growth plans as well as providing consistent and comprehensive business steering support throughout the annual steering cycle. 

The Impact You Will Have  

Based in the Munich office and reporting to the Head of “Business Partnering Corporate Lines & ART” in Global Performance Steering (GPS), you will actively contribute to the steering of the financial performance of LoB Allianz Risk Transfer (ART). You will perform planning, reporting and analysis to ensure your stakeholders’ understanding of monthly results, and support the decision-making process and portfolio steering by continuously challenging financial the performance of LoB ART. 

You will play a key role in building bridges between our Finance and Underwriting departments as well as sharing best practice within Global Performance Steering (GPS) and the wider finance community.  

This is an excellent career opportunity for someone who has relevant experience in the insurance or reinsurance environment and can combine it with strong stakeholder management and business acumen skills. 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

• Providing consistent and comprehensive business steering support to your counterparts at ART.

• Reliably performing regular reporting, forecasting and planning processes for ART across the Regions, including impacts on the respective legal entities.  

• Partnering with the Regions to drive and ensure quality assurance for financial reporting, enabling both global business steering and as transparency on financial performance. 

• In close collaboration with the Global LoB Expert for ART, supporting the Head of “Business Partnering Corporate Lines & ART” in coordinating the steering and assessment of ART’s financial performance. 

• Identifying key drivers, risks and opportunities and providing recommendations related to the key financial KPIs of ART.   

• Presenting transparent conclusions and robust financial commentary to enable decision-making. 

• Driving projects and implementing initiatives. 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

• Relevant experience in the financial services industry, ideally in insurance or reinsurance. 

• Proven expertise in planning and performance management, in particular in the analysis of financial statements and performance metrics specific to insurance or reinsurance.  

• Ability to understand, elaborate and convey information clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders, including senior management. 

• Comfort working in a global team and maintaining effective remote relationships.  

• Analytical and problem-solving ability, with the capability to provide insight in complex situations. 

• Ability to manage projects (including milestone and task planning, resource management, controlling, monitoring, reporting and moderating) and to develop solutions while considering complex stakeholder structures and requirements.  

• Advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills, as well as SAP experience for planning and reporting.
