Job purpose/role

You will be part of the Alternative Assets Implementation and Life Cycle team which is residing within AIM’s COO area. As a Senior Project Manager you will have a strong focus on operations, related processes and IT tools for Alternative Assets, with respective process design, implementation and project management functions.

Your main partners will be investment units within AIM, various Allianz Group Center functions and AIM Operations units, Asset Managers, as well as internal and external services providers (e.g. ACP, IDS, AZT, custodians, loan admins etc.).

Key responsibilities

• Project management of operational and IT topics concerning AIM’s Alternative Assets activities, including controlling of related project budgets

• Link between AIM Investment Strategy, Group Centers, Asset Managers and AIM Operations during implementation and life cycle phase of investments

• Analysis of operations requirements of new asset classes

• Ongoing optimization of existing processes and tools, also related to IT services and governance aspects

• Design of processes for and implementation of new financial instruments in our tool landscape

• Support the rollout of our services to further Allianz entities inside and outside of Germany

• Management of transversal issues (e.g. data management) in cooperation with the AIM reporting team and international colleagues

• Support of process resilience activities and incorporation of digital transformation into the implementation and life cycle of Alternative Assets at Allianz

Key requirements/skills/experience

• Strong academic background (university degree in business administration, economics, or mathematics) with focus on finance/investments

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the finance industry

• Extensive experience in managing and executing complex implementation projects

• Experience in Alternative Assets is a plus

• Knowledge of digital tools (e.g. eFront, Microsoft SharePoint), as well as expertise in transaction, payment and accounting systems (such as SAP) is an advantage

• Experience in multi-stakeholder management and complex process environment

• Willingness to drive innovations

• Very high collaboration attitude, customer and team orientation

• Strong result-orientation and “getting things done” mentality

• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
