This position is within the Core IT Services department, which provides an IT infrastructure platform for the business. You will be part of a global team – IT Service Management & Integration (ITSM&I), collaborating with colleagues across Europe, Asia and the U.S. The team focuses on the ownership, continuous improvement and execution of key IT processes, manages the ITSM platform (ServiceNOW), supports integration & oversight of service providers and the service transition of new applications.

This position will be based in Frankfurt or Munich.

What you will do

• Lead relationship management with strategic IT outsourcing partners including Cloud service providers and their entire contract lifecycle, from negotiations, commencement, dispute resolution and termination of services

• Oversee contract performance and license management in collaboration with the IT operations team and ensure compliance with terms and conditions throughout the entirety of the contract lifecycle

• Create and maintain IT outsourcing performance dashboards, KPIs and reporting standards

• Redefine, enhance and document operating model, governance and oversight policies and processes

• Regularly review the third-party reports (e.g. SOC 2) and ensure mapping of Complementary User Entity Controls (CUECs) and effective Cloud provider controls with internal control framework

• Support problem management resulting from critical, repetitive and/or major incidents in collaboration with internal stakeholders and outsourcing partners

• Ensure root-cause analysis is conducted by the outsourcing partner and preventive, corrective action plans are followed through with any learning applied for future benefit

• Create management decision-papers, status reports and other documentation to provide transparency

• Act as project manager and coordinate outsourcing partner related changes, renegotiations, commencement of new services in close collaboration with the responsible IT operations teams

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, relevant standards, regulations, and best practices

• Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities in the respective service and outsourcing agreements in close collaboration with the responsible IT operations teams

• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure that the contract scope, terms, and budget are aligned with the organization's business objectives

• Act as a point of contact to third-party(-ies), service providers as well as within the Core IT Services, Risk Management, IT Audit, IT Legal, IT Compliance, Information Security, Business Resilience, Sourcing & Procurement, Finance and other cross-functions

• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in IT services and cloud outsourcing practice

What you bring

Required

• University degree in Information Technology, Economics, International Business, Supply Chain Management and/ or similar areas

• Minimum 12 years of experience in IT sourcing & procurement, IT contract & commercial / vendor management, IT infrastructure operations, IT risk management or a related field

• Demonstrated experience working at IT service providers, telecommunications, and/or IT sourcing & procurement consulting, with an understanding of the sales aspect

• Proven track record in managing IT cloud services and/ or outsourcing contracts, relationships, negotiations, RFPs and practical day-to-day operations (BAU)

• Good understanding of RTO, RPO and SLA / OLA mechanisms across the value chain in multi-sourcing global operations environment

• Ability to understand and translate complex regulatory and oversight requirements into business relevant language and decision-making documents

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues and conflicts

• Strong negotiations skills, communication (both written and oral), problem-solving and conflict management

• Good interpersonal skills and a team player

• Highly motivated, target-oriented, matured and persistent

• Able to accommodate dynamic work priorities and global environment

• Excellent knowledge of English both verbal and written (German is a nice to have)

Preferred

• Experience in financial, banking and/ or asset management sector

• Experience with multicultural and international teams, and collaboration with external service providers in a multisource environment

• Experience in managing IT crises and major incidents at both the operational and tactical levels

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), KAIT, VAIT, etc.
