Job Description
Position Summary: The AD of GDCN is accountable for delivering exceptional and outstanding programs and service to YMCA members and participants. Responsibilities include but is not limited to providing senior leadership to: program operation, program development and growth, participation satisfaction, participant and member retention and safety, community collaborations, and staff supervision. The AD of GDCN leads the development and operations of the GDCN across the entire organization, acting as a trusted association resource. The AD of GDCN is a vital member of YMCA leadership staff and a highly visible representative of the YMCA mission, core values and are accountable for knowing and properly executing all YMCA policies and procedures.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of Gymnastics, Dance, Cheer, Ninja management. Multi-site management is preferred.
2. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
3. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
4. Organized, detail oriented, and adept computer skills.
5. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekend, and holidays.
6. Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.
Essential Functions
1. Contribute to the overall mission of strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility through exceptional youth programs in the areas of Gymnastics, Dance, Cheer and Ninja.
2. Develop, market and evaluate all program offerings and services with uniformed curriculum creating a memorable experience that builds confidence and positivity.
3. Captain the program quality team and function as the expert in GDCN program development while serving as a trusted advisor and partner to the organizational leaders.
4. Develop staff and supervisors while following our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
5. Provide positive influence and direction for program leaders that focus them on meeting and exceeding expectations and verify through audits, surveys, and on-site visits. Provide documented recommendations to center leadership for improvements.
6. Monitor, purchase, and maintain necessary equipment through scheduled and preventative maintenance.
7. Develop and manage annual department budget. Submit monthly variance reports and accurate budget forecasts. Ensure programs operate within budget and established standards. Continuously display effective and efficient fiscal management.
8. Play a key role in the Annual Campaign by ensuring all staff are asked to give and provide a reply; by facilitating or supporting a campaign effort or event; by collecting and sharing stories of Y impact; and by engaging volunteers in our cause-driven work and/or campaign efforts.
9. Undertakes additional responsibilities as required to support organization goals and objectives.
