About the Presenter
Nefertiti A. Walker is the Vice Chancellor for the Office of Equity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is also an Associate Professor at the Isenberg School of Management. She completed both her BA and MBA from Stetson University and her Ph.D. from the University of Florida. Dr. Walker’s research is on organizational culture. Specifically, she examines organizational inclusion and exclusion, seeking to understand the experiences of people with marginalized identities, and using those insights to design more inclusive organizational cultures.
Dr. Walker has accumulated over 70 international publications and presentations. Her work is published in top journals such as the Journal of Business Research. She is a Research Fellow, and in addition, she was awarded the 2017-18 Isenberg School of Management Teaching Excellence Award and the 2018-19 Isenberg School of Management Research Excellence Award.
